Yes. The special price of the book is €49 + shipping. Since you have already paid €5 as a super early bird backer, you will only pay the balance of €44 + shipping. After the campaign succeeds, you’ll be invited to complete payment and confirm your shipping address. No further steps until then.

No. Once paid, the €5 is non-refundable due to processing and platform fees.

Kickstarter is a crowdfunding platform where creators like me launch projects and invite supporters (“backers”) to pledge for rewards. In this case, the reward is a copy of my photography book 

You are not purchasing a product upfront. You are supporting the creation of the project.

If we reach the funding goal, production moves forward, and backers receive their rewards. If the goal is not reached, no one is charged, and the project does not proceed.

Please note that Kickstarter does not allow raising money for charity. So I cannot make statements implying that in the campaign. However, I am personally committed to supporting this cause beyond the campaign.

• Successful: If we meet or exceed the funding goal, your payment is processed, and I move into production and shipping.

• Unsuccessful: If the funding goal is not met, your pledge is cancelled. You are not charged, and the project ends there. As a thank you for being a super early bird backer, I will send you a PDF version of the book that you can enjoy on a large screen.

Kickstarter only releases funds if the project is fully funded.

Additionally, I commit to full transparency, regular updates, and clear timelines. You will always know how the project is progressing, including timelines for production, printing, and shipping.

Because this project deserves to be built with a community. Crowdfunding keeps it independent and purpose-led. It also creates awareness about the project with a larger audience. While I cannot use Kickstarter-raised funds for donations, I’m personally committed to supporting this cause.

Shipping and handling costs depend on your location. It will be handled by trusted providers and charged at cost.

Because this is a crowdfunding project, not a traditional retail sale, shipping costs are typically charged separately after the campaign, once we know exactly how many copies are being sent to each region.

To be fully transparent:

• I will finalize shipping rates based on actual volume and location.

• I will communicate them to you clearly before fulfillment starts.

• Shipping will be organized into 5 tiers:

  • Netherlands

  • European Union (EU)

  • United Kingdom (UK)

  • United States (US) and Canada

  • Rest of the World

• Rates will be designed to cover only actual shipping and handling costs. No profit added.

My goal is simple: fair shipping, clear communication, no surprises.

Crowdfunding projects are not traditional pre-orders. Once the full payment is made and production starts, refunds are not possible unless your book is damaged or not delivered.

VAT is included within the EU. If you’re outside the EU, local customs or VAT charges may apply. Any import charges are your responsibility and outside my control.

• Most countries do not charge duties on goods under €150.

• In the US, there’s a de minimis threshold of $800. However, if this changes due to US tariffs, I will update it during the kickstarter campaign.

• The limited edition art print costs more than exemption limits, so you will have to pay import duties. However, I will be in touch to make it as easy as possible.

This is a high-quality photography book. It is large format, uses premium materials, and is printed in Europe. The price reflects the craft, scale, and mission behind it.
The retail price is €65 and this is a special price for early supporters.

Every euro supports printing, packaging, logistics, and conservation. I’m keeping costs lean to maximize quality and impact.
